This website (www.thesolestory.com.au) belongs to Two Nomads Pty Ltd, trading as The Sole Story ("The Sole Story", "we", "our", "us"), an Australian company, ABN 62 683 276 824.
Every pair we ship has crossed an ocean to get to you. The least we can do is be upfront about the rules of the road. Browse, buy, and by doing either you're agreeing to what's below — so take five minutes, have a read. If something doesn't sit right, this isn't the site for you.
Your information, handled properly
Your personal details are collected, held and used in line with our Privacy Policy. Access what we hold on you, any time — correct it, delete it, add to it.
Sign up, play fair
To buy from us we'll need your name, phone, email, payment details and a delivery address — home or work, we're not fussy. That makes you a personal customer of The Sole Story, and we're glad to have you — on the understanding you won't misuse the site or the people on it. Break that trust, and your access closes immediately. No notice required.

Want out? Email hello@thesolestory.com.au or text +61 415 414 926 (10am–6pm, Mon–Fri) and we'll close your account. Your login stops working on thesolestory.com.au immediately.
What's on the site is what we've got
Stock updates regularly, but every so often a pair sells out faster than the system can keep up. If that's your order, we'll sort it with you — but availability of every style isn't guaranteed.
Orders, confirmed
Check out and a confirmation email follows — your items, total price (GST and shipping included), delivery details. Made an error? Move fast: hello@thesolestory.com.au or +61 415 414 926 (10am–6pm, Mon–Fri). No email landed? Same details, same urgency.
We can decline an order — payment won't authorise, shipping restrictions apply, the item's out of stock. If that happens, you'll hear from us by email and get a full refund on anything already charged.
Change your mind, before it ships
Cancel through your account for a full refund. Already on its way? Let it arrive, then send it back under our Returns Policy.
Returns, made simple
We hope every pair earns its place. If it doesn't — wrong fit, wrong call — you've got 30 days from your order date to send it back. Full details on our Shipping & Returns page.
Prices, in plain sight
All prices sit in Australian Dollars, tax included. Whatever's showing when you hit "buy" is what you'll pay.
The Sample Vault
These pairs have lived a little before landing with you — showroom samples, once shown to retailers around the country choosing their collections. No original boxes, but every pair still gets wrapped in tissue paper and sent with care. Some carry a touch more wear than others; where that's true, the listing will say so.
Sample Vault pieces are marked FINAL SALE — no exchanges, no store credit, no refunds, unless the item is genuinely faulty.
Payment, secured
We're open around the clock. Pay, and you're confirming the method is yours — or you've got the owner's OK. Every transaction runs through Shopify's secure payment system, encrypted and sent straight to a secured server. We take every reasonable step to keep your order and payment details safe, and we'll cancel an order we can't verify — you'll always hear about it first.
What's ours, stays ours
Every word, image, logo and graphic on this site belongs to The Sole Story or our associated companies, protected under Australian and international IP law. Reproducing or redistributing it without permission isn't on, and may carry civil or criminal penalties.
Reviews, comments, good energy only
This is a place built on good energy, and it stays that way. Obscene, threatening, defamatory, IP-infringing, privacy-invading, racist or otherwise offensive comments don't get to stay — we'll remove them. Leave a review, and you're granting us royalty-free, non-exclusive use of it on our site — first name, suburb, comment included.
No warranties, straight up
We're not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of — or inability to access — this website or its content. No warranties on the site or its materials, and while we take care, virus-free isn't guaranteed. Take your own precautions.
Governed by Australian law
These terms sit under Australian law, and you accept the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts.
Good shoes come with a few rules. Know them, and the rest is just enjoying the ride.
