Born from an accident (literally)

Every good brand has an origin story. Fluchos’ is better than most.

In the early 1960s, two brothers-in-law — Lázaro Garrido and Antonio Sáenz — were working the floor of another shoe factory in a small Spanish town called Arnedo. Then came a workplace accident that put them both out of action for weeks.

Stuck at home with nothing but time, they didn’t just recover — they plotted. By the time they were back on their feet, they’d decided to stop making shoes for someone else and start making them under their own name, roping their own sons in to help.

It was a risky, scrappy way to start a company. It’s also exactly the kind of “we’ll figure it out together” energy that’s kept Fluchos family-run for three generations since.
